4. Don’t forget that your special assignment is due in class on Wednesday, 12/7/16

SPECIAL HONORS ASSIGNMENT:

1. Begin reading and annotating (beyond coloring) Chapter 3 of A People’s History of the United States: Persons of Mean and Vile Condition
2. For each page, you have to AT LEAST define 1 to 2 words or identify 1 or 2 people that you do not understand or know.
3. As you read, look for evidence and take notes about how the poor were struggling
4. As you read, look for evidence and take notes for the “Chain of oppression”
5. As you read, look for evidence and take notes about the divide and conquer strategies that were employed to make the chain of oppression work
6. As you read, look for evidence and take notes for why this chapter got its title
