Friday’s Homework: 9/26/14


9th Grade U.S. & World History Standard:


1.     Read and annotate HO #22: Empire of Great Khan
2.     On page 20 of the notebook take 12 to 18 key points OR use the online graphic organizer
3.     On page 21 of the notebook write a summary OR a reflection.
4.     The Poster Project is due on Tuesday at the beginning of class!

9th Grade U.S. & World History Honors:


1.     Read and annotate HO #25: Empire of Great Khan
2.     On page 20 of the notebook take 12 to 18 key points OR use the online graphic organizer
3.     The evidence sheet for the first part of Zinn’s Chapter 1 of the Bomb: Hiroshima, Breaking the silence is due on Monday at the beginning of class.
4.     If you have questions about the reading for me, post them on the discussion assignment for Turnitin.com and each of you is expected to ask at least one question by Sunday night by 11:59PM.  

12th Grade We & They:




On page 20 of the notebook answer the following questions:

a.     What arguments does Zinn use to refute these figures and the notion that Japan would have never surrendered?   
b.     According to Zinn what were the real scientific, military, corporate and imperialist reasons for deploying both nuclear weapons in Japan? Explain.  

2. The introduction (first paragraph, hook, thesis/claim, etc) to your term paper is due on turnitin.com by Sunday night by 11:59PM.
