Dear Students,
Ms, Ryan (8th Grade Civics, 12th Grade AP Government, Girls Soccer and Softball Head Coach) asked to share the following with you. There is a volunteer opportunity for O'B students at the Re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party on Monday, Dec. 16th. There is space for up to 50 O'Bryant students (Ms. Ryan will be bringing about 24 seniors). I am (Mr. PPD) not sure that I can come, but if you would like to volunteer and watch the event for free, you need to let me know by Thursday (Your parents have to email me or send me a brief note acknowledging that they consent with you attending this optional event).
LOGISTICS:
1. Meet at Boston Tea Party Museum at 5:30PM
2. The volunteers will be working the Waterfront stage at Atlantic Wharf and watch the Sons of Liberty dump the tea into Boston Harbor.
3. The volunteer hours are 5:30PM-8:30PM (MUST ATTEND ALL 3 HOURS)
4. The volunteers will be working to control the crowd and sit 600 people who paid to watch the performance.
5. There is a reception at 8:45PM for all volunteers - pizza, water, tea, will be provided and you can talk with the different members of the event (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND THIS PART TO RECEIVE EXTRA-CREDIT)!
6. You are responsible to get to the event and back home.

EXTRA-CREDIT:
Letter Grade in yesterday's exam or 10 points if you failed (i.e. a 45 would become a 55, a C- would become a B-). The extra-credit would be on top of the Jeopardy game and be applied to both the Multiple Choice AND Open Response portions of the exam (these are treated as 2 different exams). This is also great for NHS volunteer hours and to put on your college resumes!
