2019 and 2020 are 2 very significant anniversaries in U.S. history. 2019 marks the 400th anniversary of the beginning of slavery in our nation and 2020 marks the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrim arrival to our state (you will write an anthology book of poetry and short essays in the Spring about the Pilgrim arrival and its legacy on immigration and Native Americans: past and present). In order to get us thinking we will do 2 field trips this fall, BUT YOU CAN ONLY ATTEND ONE.
A. 9/20 Play The Petition with Black Heritage Trail

B. 10/18 Plimoth Plantation
80 students can go
2 Buses
I got free admission for all students, but we need to pay for buses: $15 to $25 per student
