Homework Explanation

Dear Students,

  Having the Pink Song and describing the notebook rubric was clearly too much for today.
  I am sorry for that and therefore I believe that some of you may be confused by the
homework.

Kristen Breitweiser lost her husband in the 9-11 Attacks. She was a supporter of President George W. Bush,
but she spoke against war and revenge, joined a group of widows called the "Jersey Girls
" and was attacked by many people including being attacked viciously by Ann Coulter.  To defend
herself she wrote an open letter to Ann Coulter, which I gave to you to read for homework.  

Your job is to follow the guidelines:

1. Read the letter written by Kristen to Ann
2. Underline 3 to 5 of Kristen Breitweiser’s strongest points, so you can attack in your letter
FROM (AS) Ann TO Kristen.
3. Write the Letter on page 10 of the notebook
4. The letter should start with “Dear Kristen”
5. The letter should be between 2 to 3 paragraphs
6. The letter should end with “Sincerely, Ann”

If you need help, consider thinking about the following:

A. Kristen’s problem with the 9-11 Commission 

B. How does Kristen respond to the argument that “I have never seen women who have
enjoyed their husbands deaths more”

C. Why does Kristen believe that Ann is the one who is truly “unpatriotic”?
