2. Read handout #25 and answer the following question (Columbus Diary Part 1): On page 32 answer the following questions:
- Using evidence from the reading how does Columbus describe the Tainos to the Spanish What is his goal for doing so? Explain.
- Using evidence from the reading, do you think that Columbus had good or bad intentions in regards to the Taino people? Do you think that other European explorers would have acted differently? Why or why not? Explain.
