FIRST HOMEWORK:
Write me a letter introducing who you are (1 TO 2 PAGES), your likes and dislikes in history and history classes, your goals for your freshmen year: Things to think about (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ADDRESS ALL OF THEM):
- Is college important to you? If so, where do you want to go and what do you want to study (I went to UMASS Amherst)?
- What are your likes and dislikes about how history is taught?
- Is there anything that you struggle with in terms of school and learning?
- Where are you or your parents from?
- Where did you go to school last year?
- What do you do for fun? What are your hobbies?
- What makes you unique?
- What inspires you (those who fight for a more unified and just America in the past and present inspire me)?
- What did you do this summer?
- Do you have special talents, play sports (I help coach the boys and girls soccer team and I am the boys volleyball head coach)?
- What should I know about you as an individual that will help me teach and learn with you and from you?
Honors Class:
Information about how to enroll in the honors class will be distributed next week and discussed with parents during our open house on Thursday, September 17th from 6PM to 8PM.
