Tuesday's Homework: 9/15/15 SUBWORK

Standard Class:

Complete the following sub work.

Dear Students,

My daughter is sick and as I result I need to stay home today.  Please complete the following prompt.  IT MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE SUBSTITUTE TEACHER BY THE END OF CLASS.  NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED (IF YOU WERE ABSENT, THEN THIS IS HOMEWORK)!

Background: For the next three days we will look at people who fought in Iraq or who lost family members at the 9-11 Terrorist Attacks.  These people wrote open letters to President Bush and/or the American people.

PROMPT: You need to write a 4 paragraph open letter to President Bush stating that you lost a family member on 9-11 and what you would like President Bush to do.

Paragraph 1: Introduce your self and make your case for what action you want (wars, peace, resolution, different military strategies, etc).

Paragraphs 2 and 3: Explain your argument (this is your body paragraph).

Paragraph 4: Conclusion.

P.S. Start with “Dear Mr. President”.

Thanks
