Monday's Homework: 9/21/15

Standard Class:

GROUPS 3 & 4: Turn in your jury sheets on Tuesday.

All students, complete the Graphic Organizer from Rise Like Lions on Page 10 of the notebook.

Honors Class:

According to Turnitin.com as of Sunday at 9:21PM, 30 students want to take the Honors class, but only 3 have turned in the letter.  IT IS DUE BY MONDAY BY 11:59PM.  IF I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH STUDENTS COMPLETING THE ASSIGNMENTS, I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER THE HONORS CLASS THIS YEAR!

IF YOU WANT TO TAKE PART OF THE HONORS CLASS, then READ THE HONORS vs. STANDARD Welcoming Letter and the information about the different assignments, essays and readings by CLICKING HERE

Then write a letter explaining why you want to join the HONORS CLASS.  Please address the following topics.  The letter must be between 2 to 3 pages and submitted to turnitin.com by Monday night by 11:59PM.  An late assignment will prevent you from entering the honors section.

• Why did you make this decision?
• What do you hope to learn and achieve?
• What you expect the challenges to be?
• What are you going to do if you become overwhelmed?
• What were some of the readings and prompts that sparked your interest?   
• Why should I choose YOU?
• Does "history" matters to you?
